They discuss some important questions to ask therapists during the vetting process and why it’s so integral for first responders and their families to trust these mental health clinicians. They also discuss the book, Counseling Cops by Ellen Kirschman, which helps therapists develop both their clinical and cultural competencies for serving cops.
